The Centres for Employment & Learning in Huron County offer you a free service to help you find the right employees for your business. By partnering with us for your recruiting needs you can save valuable time and money when hiring new employees. Our Job Matching process, combined with our database of available skilled workers, will reduce your advertising costs, human resources costs, and the time required in assessing numerous resumes and applicants. As an eligible employer you may also qualify to receive Work-Site Training Experience Incentives or Work Experience Placement Incentives. These financial incentives are given to help offset the initial cost of training and/or provide the employer with an opportunity to support their community by offering job seekers the opportunity to gain valuable skills.
Our services will also give you access to Human Resource Tools that may assist you in streamlining your current business practices. The partnerships we build today can significantly contribute toward productive and successful outcomes for both employers and employees.
The Centres for Employment & Learning in partnership with The Huron Business Development Corporation provide Human Resource materials and resources in a supportive, educational manner to small business clients in the Huron County Area.
Monetary incentives are available to eligible employers to assist with the cost of training a new hire. The contracts are negotiated one-on-one and take into consideration the length of training needed to meet each employer’s goals.
Although there is no monetary value to these placements it allows eligible employers the chance to support their local communities by offering job seekers an opportunity to gain valuable skills from the employer. These placements are offered at no cost to eligible employers.
Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG)
EMPLOYERS: “Get a grant to train your workers / Give your team the skills it needs to succeed.”
The Canada-Ontario Job Grant funds, on average, two-thirds of a worker’s eligible training costs, to a maximum of $10,000. The employer contributes the remaining costs, and employs the trained worker. We can help your business connect with workers to train.
