It is our experience that adult learners are practical learners who want to integrate new ideas into what they already know. Adult learners want their learning to be relevant and useful. Adult learners want to achieve goals.
Most often, adult learners engage in learning to find a job, change careers or to maintain their current employment. They “learn to earn”.
The Centres for Employment & Learning provide learning opportunities with a focus on employment. Our continuum of learning and employment programs and services is accessed by adult learners in whatever manner makes sense to the achievement of their goals. Most learning is self-paced, individualized and self-directed with the support of our staff. The atmosphere of The Centres is informal, positive and inviting.

Our Key Performance Indicators:
We collect Impact on Community data on a monthly basis and analyze this data with a goal of continuous improvement and maximizing the impact of our programs and services on the Huron-Perth community and, in the case of e-Channel Strategy, on the province. The Key Performance Indicators are exactly that: those indicators that we deem to have the most impact on our community.
