Services for Employers

The Centre for Employment & Learning helps employers fill job vacancies by creating and promoting employment opportunities, by facilitating small and large scale job fairs and by matching employers needs with our clients' skill sets.

We offer training incentives to employers to offset the cost of training new staff. This program is ideal for hiring individuals with limited experience in your sector or who require additional supports to learn the skills required for their new role. Contact us today to see if you are eligible.

The Canada-Ontario Job Grant reimburses employers for eligible training costs to a maximum of $10,000 for existing employees. Large employers ( >99 employees) can receive approximately 50% of approved training costs while small employers qualify for approximately 83%. Funding can go as high as $15,000 with reimbursement of 100% if the employer chooses to train and hire someone who is unemployed. In all cases an application must happen prior to training and is dependent on funding. We can also, help your company connect with unemployed workers to train for your job openings.
